Saturday morning, we checked out of the Hotel De Anza, and lugged out luggage (is that why it's called that?) about a quarter of a mile to the metro station where we hopped on the express train to San Fransisco. An hour later, we arrived in San Fransisco, took a cable car a few stops, and again, hauled our luggage a few blocks to check in to our next hotel. Navigating the public transit system in Northern California was so much easier and more reliable than it is here in Los Angeles.

We spent the next few hours wandering the streets of San Fransisco looking for a brunch situation and taking in the sights. The weather took a turn and it got chilly and misty. My hair HATED that. Anyway, after chicken and waffles and smoked salmon avocado toast at Lapisara, we opted to go back to the room to warm up and get a quick cat-nap. The view from our room was beautiful! And we loved watching the sun set behind the city.

As the street lights came on, it was time to check out the main attraction- Shelli Frew's The Gravermind Estate. For my full review of the show, click here to visit No Proscenium.

After the show, we found our way to what was seemingly the last open restaurant in San Fransisco- Monk's Kettle. There, we dined on pumpkin chowder, garlic fries, and split a hamburger while sipping delicious craft beer. Major shout-out to them for keeping the kitchen open so late. Check covered, we hopped back onto the bart and called it a night.

Thank you so much to the Gravemind Estate for inviting us. Halloween night is sold out, but I believe tickets are still available here.
