My husband, Adam and I met initially in 2008 at Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party. We'd go on to attend that Halloween Party again together for two years before we actually connected. Because of that, Halloween is so special to us. It's the time of year that we celebrate each other! Which is why we were so excited to take the party to the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel and Disneyland.

We checked in Sunday morning and immediately came face-to-face with Princess Corinne. The beautiful princess was seated by the warm, calming fireplace in the lobby with a basket full of letters. She shared with us that friends of all ages write to her on special stationary that the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel supplies and she makes it a point every morning to reply to these letters by hand. She told us about her friends Shadow, the Snow Dragon, and Tobi, the Koi fish. The lore behind Princess Corinne's friends is one that delights and creates an immersive atmosphere that anyone can appreciate. The grounds already appear castle-like, so the idea that one of the Koi fish is magical, or that a any moment, a camouflaged Snow Dragon may fly above you, just makes it that much more magical. You can click here to read all about Shadow, Princess Corinne, and Tobi, or on walls and floor in the hallways of the castle- I mean hotel.

Once checked in, we entered our room and began decorating. Not that the room needed it! It was large and spacious and comfortable and absolutely beautiful! The tiled headboard and curtains surrounding matched the carpet and drapery beautifully! And the shadowy-forest wall paper really set the tone for what a whimsical, beautiful, stay we were about to enjoy. Having just come from our conversation with Princess Corinne, we kept imaging that if we squinted, we might see Shadow the Snow Dragon on the walls in-between the trees.

Decorating is fun, but it was at that point we decided it was time to get to the parks! The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service that travels to Disneyland and California Adventure every hour and half hour (with return service every :15 and :45). Not only was the shuttle convenient, but it was also incredibly efficient! Within minutes we were at the drop-off, walking up to the security check point.

First things first- we HAD to met Jack and Sally, because that's who we were Disney Bounding, after all. It's been a while since we've seen Jack and Sally so it was a wonderful reunion!

The next stop was extra-special. We met a friend at Club 33 to enjoy a celebratory cocktail in Le Salon Nouveau. Lucky for us, Club 33 is still celebrating the 50 year anniversary of The Haunted Mansion so we were able to take advantage of photo opps and special drinks. Including a tiki mug! I love tiki mugs, and this one was extra special.

With tiki mug in-hand, we wandered over to California Adventure to write some Halloween cards. We'd sent our wedding Thank-You cards from California Adventure, so we thought this would be a fun way to celebrate our Halloweeniversary. So we sat down and did just that. Did you know that if you bring stamps, you can send letters from Disney parks? All those mailboxes you see scattered around are in service! You can drop a postcard or letter in there with proper postage and it will be mailed to your friend or loved one!

It felt like as soon as we dropped the letter in the mailbox, the weather took a turn for the worst and it got chilly! So we hopped back onto the complimentary Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel shuttle to head back to the room and thaw-out before heading back to the parks.

We took a few moments to enjoy the grand, comforting lobby fireplace before changing back in the room.

With pants on, and long-sleeved shirts donned, back on the shuttle we went to watch the fireworks and grab a bite at Disneyland. After lots of research, we had a short list of seasonal offerings that we wanted to eat. The first was a loaded fries situation at Galactic Grill.

They were delicious and there just happened to be a spooky villains dance party going on. We love to dance, so this was a one-stop must-do for us. Unfortunately for us, after all that dancing, the other dining locations offering seasonal foods we wanted to try were closed. Whatever we were going to do?? That's when Adam pulled out a surprise!

BOWLING!

I'd never been to Splitsville, but they're open late and their kitchen is open until they close so it was the perfect late-night date-night situation! We bowled, we dined, and we danced!

Once finished, we realized that the distance from Splitsville to the shuttle pick up was about the same distance to the lobby of the hotel, and we wouldn't have to wait for the shuttle! So we walked! From the security point at Downtown Disney, to the front door of the lobby, was about 15 minutes. The new walking bridge is well-lit, safe for pedestrians, and offers some unique views of the area. I highly recommend this walk in good weather!

At this point in the evening, we were both ready to turn back into pumpkins and fall asleep. This is where I get to mention one of my absolute favorite things about the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel, the bed and pillows are so comfortable. Like, SO comfortable! Like, you think you're dreaming every time you lay on them. Like, you never want to get up comfortable. Like, how do I get these in my home comfortable (If I find out, I'll let you know!).

While Adam worked, I spent the next day at the pool. Our anniversary trip was amazing and we are so grateful to the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel for hosting us during this stay!
