Halloween gets me in the mood for crafting! Ok, most things get me in the mood for crafting- especially holidays and themes. So last year, my friend Lyssa and I began a new tradition- Halloween Crafting Day!

Last year was so much, we made pillows out of hanging banners from the 99 cent only store and drank red wine. This year, we were going for something a little more themed- spooky champagne coupes!

Lucky for us, we partnered with Club bubbly for this crafting day and had THE BEST TIME!

We popped one of the bottles and well.....you're going to want to scroll through ALL of these photos.

So with that all cleaned up, we began our crafting day! Our craft this year was super easy, and super cute!

For this craft, you're going to need a few things:

-scissors

-an x-acto knife

-wine glasses (ours came from the thrift store)

-Mod Podge

-fabric or lace that will not fray (ours is from the 99 Cent Only Store)

-a foam brush

The first step is to set the glass down on the fabric to choose the placement and then cut it out in roughly a square. You want there to be enough fabric around the edges to cover the base. It doesn't need to be a perfect shape, you're going to cut it ll off in a minute anyway. Next, cover the very bottom of the glass with the Mod Podge using the foam brush. We chose coupes because the weight distribution when they were upside-down being painted made the most sense to us. Let the mod Podge rest for a minute or two to get gummy and set the fabric on the Mod Podged-base. It should stick and sit in place. Once it's on there pretty good, use the scissors and cut along the outside of rim of the glass. Again, it doesn't have to be perfect, that's what the x-acto will be for later. Take your foam brush and brush on more Mod Podge on top. Take a short cookie break! When you return, check the fabric to make sure it's slightly hardened. If it's still soft and gummy, wait a few more minutes. If it is hard enough, take the x-acto knife and carefully cut the fabric or lace even closer to the edge of the glass from the inside. You should be able to lift the part that's been cut by x-acto right up, while the rest of the fabric remains stuck to the glass.

Let the glass sit upside-down to dry for a few hours. While you have a witchy photoshoot with the wine you're going to drink out of them!
